Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Ride Helper, operated as a sole proprietorship from Thiruvarur District, Tamil Nadu, India ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy and Delivery Policy, form a binding agreement between you and Ride Helper.

By visiting ridehelper.shop, downloading, installing, activating or using the Ride Helper application, or by purchasing any plan, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the application or this website and do not make a payment.

2. Description of the Service

Ride Helper is an Android mobile application that provides personal record-keeping and productivity tools for self-employed road-transport drivers in India, including cab and taxi drivers, auto-rickshaw drivers, and bike-taxi and delivery riders. The application allows you to record and total:

• daily and shift-wise earnings, separated into cash and platform (online) fares;
• the number of trips completed and average earnings per trip;
• operating expenses such as fuel, servicing, tyres, insurance, permit and vehicle EMI;
• platform incentive and bonus targets, and progress towards them;
• weekly, monthly and custom-period summaries and reports.

We reserve the right to modify, improve, suspend or discontinue any part of the service, and to change the features included in each plan, at any time. Where a change materially reduces the features of a plan you have already paid for, we will notify you by email and you may request a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of that plan.

3. Eligibility

You may use the service only if:

• you are at least 18 years of age;
• you are legally competent to enter into a contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872;
• the information you provide during purchase or activation is true, accurate and complete; and
• you are not prohibited from receiving the service under any applicable law.

Use of the service by a person under 18 is not permitted. If you are purchasing on behalf of a business or a fleet, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that entity to these Terms.

4. Licence and Activation

When you purchase a paid plan, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Ride Helper application on devices you own or control, for your own record-keeping purposes, for the duration of the pass you purchase (24 hours, 48 hours, 7 days or 30 days).

• Your licence key is delivered by email and shown on the confirmation screen after a successful payment. Delivery is normally within 5 minutes; see our Delivery Policy.
• Each pass unlocks every feature for its duration from activation: Day Pass 24 hours, 2-Day Pass 48 hours, Week Pass 7 days, Month Pass 30 days.
• You may not sell, rent, lease, sublicense, resell, share or redistribute your licence key.
• If a key is leaked or shared, we may deactivate it without a refund.
• Downloading the application is free; a valid pass key is required to unlock the full feature set. Passes never auto-renew.

5. Payment Terms

• All prices are stated in Indian Rupees (INR, ₹) and are published on our Pricing page before you pay. Prices are inclusive of applicable GST unless stated otherwise.
• The amount displayed on the Razorpay checkout page is the exact and final amount charged. We do not add hidden fees, surcharges or undisclosed charges at any point.
• All payments are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited, an RBI-authorised payment aggregator, using UPI, debit or credit cards, netbanking or wallets. Your use of the checkout is also governed by Razorpay's own terms of service.
• We do not collect, transmit or store your card number, CVV, expiry date, UPI PIN, netbanking credentials or any other sensitive payment data. That information is exchanged only between you and Razorpay over an encrypted (TLS) connection.
• A payment receipt is issued by email for every successful transaction. Invoices are available on request.
• Passes are one-time purchases. There is no auto-renewal, no recurring charge, and no mandate stored on your UPI app or card. When a pass expires, access simply stops until you choose to buy another one.
• If a payment fails but the amount is debited from your account, the debit is normally reversed automatically by your bank or by Razorpay within 5–7 business days. If it is not, contact us and we will assist.

6. Your Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and complete contact information at purchase and activation, and keep it up to date so we can deliver your licence key and receipts.
• Keep your licence key, device and app data confidential and secure. You are responsible for all activity carried out using your key.
• Maintain your own backups of important records. Although app data is stored locally on your device, we cannot recover data lost through device loss, damage, factory reset, malware or an operating-system upgrade.
• Ensure the figures you enter are accurate. Ride Helper only calculates totals from the numbers you provide; we do not verify them against any platform, bank or government system.
• Use the reports you generate responsibly. Any submission of a Ride Helper report to a bank, insurer or government body is made by you at your own discretion and risk.
• Comply with all applicable laws, including the terms of any ride-hailing platform you drive for.

7. Prohibited Use

You agree that you will not, and will not permit any third party to:

• reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, crack or attempt to derive the source code of the application;
• bypass, tamper with or defeat the licence or activation mechanism;
• repackage, rebrand, mirror or redistribute the application, whether free or paid;
• use the application to generate false, forged or misleading income records for any loan, insurance, visa, tax or government purpose;
• use the application or this website for any unlawful, fraudulent, harassing or defamatory purpose;
• upload malware, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, servers or those of our payment processor;
• scrape, crawl or systematically extract content from this website; or
• interfere with, disrupt or overload the service or another user's use of it.

Breach of this section may result in immediate suspension or termination of your licence without a refund, and may be reported to the relevant authorities.

8. Intellectual Property

All rights, title and interest in the Ride Helper name, logo, application, source code, user interface, designs, text, graphics and documentation — and all modifications and derivative works of them — remain the exclusive property of Ride Helper and are protected by Indian and international copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property to you. You receive only the limited licence described in section 4. Content you enter into the app (your earnings and expense records) remains entirely yours; we claim no ownership of it.

Ride Helper is an independent product. All other trademarks, brand names and logos mentioned anywhere on this website or in the application are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only. Their use does not imply any affiliation or endorsement.

9. Service Availability and Support

• The application's core record-keeping functions operate offline on your device and do not depend on our servers.
• Online functions (licence activation, updates and this website) may be briefly unavailable for maintenance. We will give notice where practicable and will not knowingly schedule maintenance during peak hours.
• Support is provided by email and WhatsApp, Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM IST. We aim to respond within 24 to 48 working hours. Support is included at no extra cost with every plan.
• We may release updates and bug fixes. Continuing to use the application after an update means you accept the updated version.

10. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every calculation will meet your specific expectations, since results depend entirely on the figures you enter.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ride Helper and its proprietor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill or business opportunity arising out of or in connection with your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service shall not exceed the amount you actually paid us for the plan giving rise to the claim in the 3 months preceding that claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under Indian law.

11. Suspension and Termination

• By you: you may stop using the application at any time. Passes never renew automatically, so there is nothing to stop. Your data can be deleted from your device at any time.
• By us: we may suspend or terminate your licence, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, if we reasonably suspect fraudulent use of a payment method, or if we are required to do so by law or by our payment processor.
• Where we terminate for a breach described in section 7, no refund is payable.
• Sections 8, 10, 12 and 13 survive termination.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the service, to pricing or to applicable law. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, will notify registered users by email at least 7 days before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the application or website after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the service and contact us — you may be entitled to a pro-rata refund of any unused prepaid plan.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 where applicable. The parties will first attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute amicably within 30 days of written notice. Failing that, the courts at Thiruvarur, Tamil Nadu shall have exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing in this section deprives a consumer of any mandatory protection available to them under the law of their place of residence.
